The role
Air superiority — own the sky and deny the enemy theirs.
The fighter jet controls the airspace, and whoever controls the airspace hands their ground team a map-wide advantage. It runs strike passes, denies enemy air, and protects friendly armor and infantry indirectly by simply making the sky lethal to the other side. Win that fight and everything downstream gets easier.
It's the highest skill ceiling on the field. The jet lives entirely on speed and evasion — predictable flying gets locked, and a hovering thought gets you killed. Timing-based strikes and constant movement are the whole discipline.
Win the sky first
Clear enemy air before you play ground-attack. A denied airspace lets your armor roll and your snipers hold — that's worth more than any single strafing run.
Time the strike
Anti-vehicle passes are all about timing. Line up the run, deal the hit, and extend out — a jet that loiters over the target is a jet that gets locked.
Never fly predictable
Speed and evasion are your armor. Vary your approach, break locks with terrain and countermeasures, and keep the throttle honest — a straight line is a death sentence.
