Recon
Sniper / spotter
Owns the long lanes. Marks threats, thins pushes from range, and feeds the squad early warnings.
Sniper RifleThe role
Long-range marksman & spotter — eyes for the squad, reach for the kill.
Recon owns the distance and the information. From a good perch you hold the long lanes nobody else can contest, delete high-value targets before they matter, and — more valuable than any single kill — feed your squad a live picture of where the enemy is and which way they're rotating. A spotted flank is a dead flank.
The kit punishes patience and destroys the impatient. Sit still too long and a flanker finds you; take a fight up close and you lose it. Play the angles, move after every couple of shots, and make the enemy walk the flat ground you've already ranged.
Eyes and reach. Hold the long lanes, spot rotations for your squad, and delete high-value targets before they matter. Own the distance; never get caught in the open.

Class tactics
Spot before you shoot
Your first job is intel, not frags. Mark the rotation, tag the armor, ping the flank — the squad acts on what you see. An unspotted enemy that wipes your team is worth more to them than the one you sniped is worth to you.
Two shots, then move
A muzzle flash from the same window twice is a location the enemy now owns. Fire, relocate, re-settle on a fresh angle. A sniper who never moves is a killcam waiting to happen.
Take the high line
Sight the flat, open ground and let the enemy come to it. Cover the lane your team's push exposes, and keep a claymore or a sensor on the one route a flanker could use to reach your nest.
You are the front half of a kill chain — you mark the target, the Missile Operator and the Drone pilot remove it. Post where you can see the lane your Assault is pushing into, and your spots keep the whole squad a step ahead of every peek.
